description: The Research & Development Division of Fujirebio Inc. is seeking
applicants for a post-doctoral position as Research Fellow with an initial contract
period of 2 years. The new RF will join a small team of researchers on a microbial
metabolic engineering project in a well-equipped and spacious laboratory at the
western edge of Tokyo, Japan.

Publications are strongly encouraged and the research is relatively free similar to
most academic institutions. The working language is English and the department is
very multi-national. The salary is relatively high (~ equiv. to US Assoc. Prof.) and
the Japanese tax loading is relatively low. The laboratory is located close to
mountains (incl. Mt. Fuji) and national parks and is only 40 minutes away (by train)
from central Tokyo.

The ideal applicant is looking for a first or second post-doc and is hungry to
produce high-quality high impact papers to advance their career. Applicants well
versed in classical and cutting edge molecular biology techniques are particularly
encouraged.
